The Biden administration has authorized the mass release of illegal immigrants into the U.S. if non-governmental organizations can’t hold them, multiple sources from U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) told Fox News. The move comes as border states and officials brace for an expected influx of illegal immigrants triggered by the end of Title 42.

According to people familiar with the matter, illegal immigrants will be released at bus stops, gas stations, and supermarkets in border towns and cities already overwhelmed by record-breaking numbers of illegal immigrants.

Fox’s sources said the mass release will only occur if NGO’s don’t have the capacity to hold them, which is likely, according to officials.

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) recently warned Mexican cartels are preparing to flood the United States’ southern border with between 700,000 and one million illegal immigrants when Title 42 is lifted in an effort to overwhelm the CBP.

Rep. Biggs said the CBP does not have enough resources or personnel to “keep them in detention and processing facilities.”

“When those facilities get full…they’re going to just take pictures. They’re not even going to do full on processing. They’re going to take pictures. If we’re lucky fingerprints, [but] probably not even that,” Biggs warned. “And then they’re going to release them right into the local communities along the border.”

“It will be unlike anything we’ve ever seen,” Biggs added.

Biggs said CBP officials are telling locals, “I’m sorry. You’re screwed.”

A growing number of Chinese nationals are illegally entering the United States through the U.S.-Mexico border, according to CBP data.

The CBP recorded 4,271 Chinese nationals crossing the southern border between October and February. The number was more than 10 times greater than the same period the previous year.

This was a breaking news story. The details were periodically updated as more information became available.
