A golden retriever named Tucker has gone viral on the social media platform TikTok after a video was shared showing him desperately whining and howling when he thought that his owner had gone outside to play without him.
“Dad was outside shoveling the [snow] and Tucker REALLY wanted to join him because he thought dad was playing without him,” the video states. “He has never whined and howled like this!”
According to PetKeen, golden retrievers love to play in the snow and dog owners are advised to monitor their time spent playing in the snow to avoid possible hyperthermia. Hyperthermia can creep up on a canine and owners may sometimes be completely unaware of their dog’s struggling health.
Signs and symptoms of hyperthermia in your dog can include shivering, limping, whimpering, constantly seeking shelter, anxiety and a reluctance to walk or move.

TikTok users were quick to react to the now viral video, with animal lovers enjoying the lighthearted and playful mood of the trending clip.
