A Milwaukee woman was left in fear after a man fired eight gunshots into her home before walking away.

The woman shared the horrific doorbell video of the incident, claiming she’s now too afraid to return to the house.

I don’t think that I’ll ever feel safe there again,” the unnamed homeowner told WTMJ-TV, stating that she does not want to reveal her name or face to the public.

I’m distraught, I’m terrified, I just don’t feel safe,” she added.

The woman revealed that her 14-year-old daughter and 2-year-old twin grandsons were in the home at the time. The homeowner said that she was upstairs listening to music when the doorbell rang.

After no one answered the door, the man casually walked away from the home, pulled out a handgun and fired eight shots toward the home. No one was hurt in the shooting.

An update to the WTMJ-TV account stated that an unnamed 46-year-old man was arrested in connection with the shooting.

Facebook users reacted quickly to the disturbing video, with one user noting that the shooter’s fingerprint was on the doorbell.

Some users suggested that the man was at the home to pick up something since he also appeared to be counting money from his pocket while he waited at the door.

“Someone definitely sent him the wrong address. He’s not just randomly picking homes to shoot. I’m glad everyone in the home was safe,” one Facebook comment read.

Another user observed that the shooter did not even seem to care that he was being recorded during the shooting, indicating that the man may have been under the influence of some type of drug or other substance.

Still others expressed concerns about safety in America’s neighborhoods, sounding off that it no longer feels safe to even answer your own door due to potential threats of violence. The incident also raised the ongoing debate over the nation’s gun laws, with some arguing against the ease of gun ownership while others emphasized the importance of the Second Amendment to defend against such crimes.

Regardless of the reasons for the shooting, the footage has become very popular. The video has been viewed over 2.1 million times on Facebook since the shooting earlier this month.
