Rep. Elise M. Stefanik (House of Representatives/Released)
January 30, 2023

Rep. Elise Stefanik recently announced she was reappointed by Speaker Kevin McCarthy to serve as a senior member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence for the 118th Congress.

“As our world becomes increasingly more dangerous, the work of our Intelligence Committee is vital to protecting our nation against these threats,” Stefanik said. “I am honored to continue my work as a senior member of this committee to serve to strengthen our national security, provide critical oversight of our nation’s intelligence to restore Americans’ trust in these agencies, and advocate for answers on the deadly Schoharie Limo Crash from the FBI on behalf of grieving families in Upstate New York.”

“As a senior member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Stefanik has dedicated her time to countering our adversaries and increasing our national security- including protecting agriculture industry from the Chinese Communist Party’s malign practices and bolstering our defense systems to deter provocations. I look forward to working alongside Congresswoman Stefanik in the 118th,” Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Mike Turner said.

Stefanik has served on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence since 2017. This committee is charged with oversight of the United States Intelligence Community and the Military Intelligence Program.
