Fox News’ streaming platform, Fox Nation, is holding its fourth annual “Patriot Awards” on Thursday, November 17.
Held at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, at 7 p.m. EST, the award-style event will honor “America’s most valiant, including military veterans, first responders and other everyday heroes,” a Fox News representative told American Military News in an email.
“Throughout the evening, select patriots will be honored in a number of categories, including Most Valuable Patriot Award, Heroism Award, Service to Veterans Award, Back The Blue Award and more,” Fox News said.
Fox & Friends Weekend co-host and veteran Pete Hegseth is set to emcee the sold-out event that will feature appearances from a number of Fox News Media personalities, including Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, Greg Gutfeld, Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt, Brian Kilmeade, Judge Jeanine Pirro, the cast of The Five, Harris Faulkner, Will Cain, Rachel Campos-Duffy, Dan Bongino, John Rich, Mike Rowe, Nancy Grace, Lawrence Jones, Johnny Joey Jones, Abby Hornacek and more.
The event will help fund the American Red Cross in support of communities impacted by Hurricane Ian, which hit Florida in late September.
Previous award winners include:
Maryland-based barbecue restaurant chain Mission BBQ was selected for the Service to Veterans award. The restaurant has a multi-directional mission to serve military personnel and veterans inspired by co-founder Bill Kraus’ two Marine Corps sons.
Rob Jones, a double amputee Marine Corps veteran, was chosen for the Most Valuable Patriot award. Jones made headlines for running 31 marathons in 31 days in 2017 to raise money for wounded warrior charities. He lost both legs after an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan in 2010, and just two years later, he won a bronze medal in rowing at the 2012 Paralympic Games.
Charlie Hecht was selected for the Unsung Hero award after his mission in May 2019 to encourage everyone in his community to fly an American flag, WTKR reported at the time. Hecht, the son of Navy service member Cdr. Dave Hecht, took action upon noticing his neighbors didn’t fly an American flag. He created the “Patriot Project” along with the local Lowes store to secure a discount on American flags if they displayer a flyer that Hecht handed out to them.
Viewers can catch the live event on Fox Nation. A repeat presentation will also air on Fox News Channel on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 10 p.m. EST.
