First Lady Jill Biden is scheduled to visit Orlando this week to talk to veterans, according to the White House.
Biden is set to appear at the Warrior Games welcome event at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World on Thursday night.
The Warrior Games are a series of sporting events for wounded, injured or ill military members and veterans that began in 2010. The games, to be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex at Disney World, are being held in the Orlando area for the first time.
Biden will also speak on Friday at Disney’s Veterans Institute Summit at Wide World of Sports.
The summit aims “to help companies build effective military spouse and veteran hiring, training, and support programs of their own,” the White House stated.
Biden had previously visited Orlando in July 2021 for the Scripps National Spelling Bee finals, also held at the Wide World of Sports complex.
