FBI agents are currently at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, according to the former president himself.

In a statement posted on his Truth social media site, Trump said his Mar-A-Lago club is “currently under siege, raided and occupied by a large group of FBI agents.” Trump went on to say FBI agents “even broke into my safe.”
Trump also linked the FBI raid to deliberate political persecution ahead of the 2022 midterm elections and his possible reelection bid in 2024.
“It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections,” Trump said.
FBI officials did not respond to an American Military News request for comment at the time of this article’s publication. An FBI official subsequently replied, “We don’t have any comment.”
CNN reported Trump was not in Florida at the time of the FBI raid.
The raid reportedly began early on Monday morning. Law enforcement personnel were primarily focused on the part of the club where Trump lives and his office space.
The Department of Justice declined a CNN request for comment. The White House also declined CNN’s request for comment but a White House official said it was not notified about the raid.

These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate. It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections. Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries. Sadly, America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before. They even broke into my safe! What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democrat National Committee? Here, in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of the 45th President of the United States.
The political persecution of President Donald J. Trump has been going on for years, with the now fully debunked Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, and so much more, it just never ends. It is political targeting at the highest level!

Reacting to the news, conservative pundit and Fox News opinion host Dan Bongino said, “This is some third-world bullshit right here.”
Conservative commentator and Human Events editor Jack Posobiec tweeted, “Cheers breaking out inside the West Wing reports WH staffer.”
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), a frequent critic of Trump, referred to the FBI as a moment of “accountability.”
“We are witnessing the difference between an honest system and a corrupt one,” Swalwell tweeted. “In 2020 Donald Trump brought us dangerously close to a permanently corrupt America. The rule of law is taking shape. And accountability is coming.”
David Axelrod, a liberal political commentator and former advisor to President Barack Obama, tweeted, “One thing is very clear. Garland would not have authorized this raid, and no federal judge would have signed off on it, if there weren’t significant evidence to warrant it.”
