President Joe Biden, who vowed to unify America, attacked Trump supporters during a speech on Thursday, calling them a “threat” to democracy and accusing them of engaging in “semi-fascism.” Biden also said he doesn’t “respect” Trump supporters. More than 70 million Americans voted for Trump in 2020.

Biden made the remarks at a Democratic National Committee “Build a Better America Rally” in Rockville, Md. on Thursday, where he urged “Independents and mainstream Republicans” to vote against “extreme” Trump Republicans.

“It’s not hyperbole now you need to vote to literally save democracy again,” Biden told a crowd gathered inside a small high school gym. “America must choose. You must choose. Whether our country will move forward or backward.”

Biden asked the crowd if America will be “a nation of unity, of hope, of optimism,” before immediately attacking “Trump and the extreme MAGA Republicans” again, referring to the Trump slogan “Make America Great Again.”

“We’re at a serious moment in our nation’s history. The MAGA Republicans don’t just threaten our personal rights and economic security, they’re a threat to our very democracy. They refuse to accept the will of the people, they embrace political violence,” Biden said.

“What’s happened is there are not many real Republicans anymore … I respect conservative Republicans, I don’t respect these MAGA Republicans,” he added. “What we’re seeing now is either the beginning or the death knell of an extreme MAGA philosophy. It’s not just Trump, it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the — I’m going to say something — it’s like semi-fascism.”

Republican National Committee spokesman Nathan Brand slammed Biden for his remarks, calling them “despicable.”

“Biden forced Americans out of their jobs, transferred money from working families to Harvard lawyers and sent our country into a recession while families can’t afford gas and groceries. Democrats don’t care about suffering Americans — they never did,” he asserted, according to The Washington Post.

Biden was also interrupted during his speech by a heckler who shouted, “You stole the election!” before being removed from the gym.

In July, whistleblowers revealed that the FBI had a “scheme” to cover up negative information about criminal activity involving President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, before the 2020 presidential election.

In a July 25 letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland, Sen. Chuck Grassley revealed that “highly credible” whistleblowers alleged the FBI falsely portrayed “derogatory information relating to Hunter Biden” as “disinformation.”

Grassley wrote that the FBI allegedly developed information regarding Hunter Biden’s “criminal financial and related activity” in 2020, but in August of that year – just three months before the presidential election involving his father Joe Biden – an FBI Headquarters team used an internal assessment by FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten to “improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation.”

The false “disinformation” label of “verified and verifiable derogatory information on Hunter Biden” caused the agency to halt investigations into the matter.
