The youngest of the two attackers who killed an UberEats driver in March during a carjacking in Washington, D.C., pleaded guilty to a murder charge.
On Thursday, the unnamed 13-year-old girl appeared virtually in a courtroom where she pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the death of Mohammad Anwar, 66, a Pakistani immigrant who was delivering for UberEats when he was killed, according to WUSA-TV
In a plea deal with prosecutors, the armed carjacking charge as well as several others will be dropped. If she is sentenced to a maximum sentence by a judge, the girl will be released from prison by the time she turns 21. She is expected to be sentenced on July 6.
The girl’s accomplice, another unnamed girl, 15, pleaded guilty to a murder charge as well in May.
