Logistics Specialist 2nd Class Courtney Grace, of West Palm Beach, who is stationed at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, was named the American Red Cross’s volunteer of the year, European Division.
Grace was presented his award by U.S. Navy Capt. Kyle Schuman, commanding officer of the base, during a ceremony on Dec. 23. He was recognized for his outstanding work for deployed sites since July 2019.
Camp Lemonnier is an operational installation that enables U.S., allied and partner nation forces to be where and when they are needed to ensure security in Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
