The 2020 year is finally coming to an end.

Across the world, folks will celebrate the end of a year that saw a global pandemic, loss of iconic legends, protests, wildfires and more.

And while most things that were scheduled to take place this year — countless events, concerts and get-togethers — were canceled, “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” show will go on live from Times Square in New York.

Ryan Seacrest will host the end of year event once again, but the broadcast will be closed off to the public due to COVID-19. So, no midnight kisses in Times Square on TV this year.

The Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment announced that this year’s special guests will be the “Heroes of 2020,” which includes first responders, frontline and essential workers.

“The Special Guest plays a pivotal role in the Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration, most notably by representing resounding resolve and a determined spirit, at a time when the world collectively awaits a renewed beginning,” Tim Tompkins, the president of the Times Square Alliance, said in a statement. “This year, it feels most appropriate to shine a spotlight on the individuals who are tirelessly leading our nation through hard times with unshakable strength, determination and poise, as well as their families, who deal with their own set of sacrifices.”

Jennifer Lopez is set to headline this year’s party. Other performances this year include Billy Porter and Cyndi Lauper, who are hitting the stage for a “Kinky Boots” reunion, and country singer Jimmie Allen.

Two-time Grammy award-winner Gloria Gaynor will perform her hit song “I Will Survive,” as well as “Joy Comes in The Morning,” off of her 2020 Grammy winning gospel album, “TESTIMONY,” and “Never Can Say Goodbye.”

When: “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” with Ryan Seacrest will broadcast live from New York City on December 31 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

How to watch: The broadcast will air on ABC, which you can stream on Fubo TV or Hulu. Both are currently offering free trials.
