A 10-foot brick wall partially collapsed at a Brooklyn construction site Monday, trapping two workers under debris and killing one of them.
The wall crumbled on to the workers at the job site 454 42nd St. near Fourth Ave. in Sunset Park about 1:30 p.m., officials said.
Police and firefighters worked to remove the workers. One died at the scene while the other was pulled from the rubble in serious condition.
Rescue workers continued to search the rubble based on unconfirmed reports other workers could be trapped.
In 2014, a complaint was filed with the Department of Buildings that the homeowner had installed a retaining wall for a flower bed with unlicensed contractors.
