A demonstrator who was detained after assaulting a President Trump supporter during the Million MAGA March Saturday is also reportedly a registered child sex offender.
According to a press release from the Metropolitan Police Department, Kenneth Wayne Deberry was arrested by Washington, D.C., police on Saturday for disorderly conduct, including inciting violence, aggravated assault, as well as a felon in possession of a firearm.
The MPD Sex Offender Registry revealed Deberry is a registered sex offender. Convicted in the capital city in 2008, Deberry was found to have committed second-degree child sexual abuse against someone under 16 years old.
Three others were also arrested during the incident Saturday that occurred during the Million MAGA March, a pro-Trump protest in Washington, D.C.
“The suspects were involved in a collaborative effort to incite violence during first amendment assemblies at the listed location,” the press release said. “One of the suspects struck the victim rendering him unconscious. Other suspects assaulted the victim and took his property. Four suspects were apprehended at the scene by responding officers.”
Video of the assault circulated on social media following the incident. Daily Caller reporter Jorge Ventura shared the video on Twitter with the message, “Multiple Trump supporters assaulted by pro-BLM supporters in Washington, D.C. One of the supporters assaulted was brutally knocked out. The scene is chaotic right now.”
In the footage, the attacker is seen going up to the Trump supporter from behind and punching him in the face. The victim falls to the ground and doesn’t move for several seconds before others around help him up.
Another demonstrator is seen stomping on the victim while he is on the ground.

The video goes on to show blood running down the victim’s face as he wipes it away with his hands after three men and a woman help him to his feet. One of the men rests his hand on the victim’s head and starts praying.
One of the men helping said, “Bring him to the police.” The group carried the victim to a police officer who appears to call in the assault.
