A shooting occurred at Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa, Wis. On Friday afternoon, leaving eight people injured.

Wauwatosa Mayor Dennis McBride confirmed the incident, telling ABC News, “Multiple injured victims have and are being transported from the north end of the Macy’s Department Store. None of the victims’ injuries appear to be life threatening. The perpetrator is ‘at-large’ at this time.”

McBride said at least 75 police officers were on scene.

A police spokesperson later confirmed during a press conference that seven adults and one teenager were injured and transported to local hospitals, but their condition was unknown at the time.

The spokesperson said the suspect was still at large, but was not on the premises.

Witnesses reported hearing as many as a dozen gunshots in the mall.

Video showed a huge law enforcement presence outside the mall.

The FBI Milwaukee branch tweeted that they were responding to the shooting in support of local law enforcement.

Local reporting Stephanie Haines tweeted a photo showing a heavy tactical truck arriving on scene.

Haines also reported seeing at least three ambulances leave the mall.
