America’s mayor wants New York City’s current leader removed from office.
Rudy Giuliani is calling for Mayor de Blasio to be booted from Gracie Mansion over the city’s handling of the protests that have led to clashes with cops and looting across the five boroughs in recent days.
“The Mayor in NYC has lost control of the mob and of the city,” Giuliani tweeted Tuesday morning. “The Mayor is preventing the NYPD to take the actions necessary to stop brutal attacks on police and citizens. He is even falsely accusing NYPD of taking excessive action when he has made them punching bags.”

Giuliani, who now serves as President Trump’s personal attorney, called on Gov. Cuomo to step in and “remove” de Blasio.
“He is preventing the NYPD from taking the actions that have prevented riots in the past,” he wrote.
Gov. Cuomo should remove Mayor DiBlasio. He is preventing the NYPD from taking the actions that have prevented riots in the past. Surely, you remember the Gigante report which helped me prevent riots under circumstances of long protests with many attempts to turn them violent.

Protests have erupted across the country in the wake of the death of George Floyd, an African-American man who died in police custody in Minneapolis last week.
Mayor de Blasio needs to step down. He is incompetent. We are losing a tremendous amount of property. We are seeing people damaged and hurt.
Pretty soon, we’re going to lose lives if this man doesn’t get out of the way and let someone activate the police department!

Peaceful marches have been marred by sporadic violence and looting after dark and cops have faced increasing criticism for their handling of the demonstrations.
New York City imposed a curfew Monday night, the first time such a measure has been taken in the Big Apple in more than 60 years. It will be in place Tuesday evening as well, starting at 8 p.m.
Trump, a day after declaring himself the “president of law and order” and vowing to use the U.S. military to crack down on the clashes, joined Giuliani in slamming New York officials.
The president took to Twitter to claim that New York has been “lost to the looters, thugs, Radical Left, and all others forms of Lowlife & Scum.”
He then equated the violence to lost television ratings.
“Yesterday was a bad day for the Cuomo Brothers,” he wrote in a reference to the governor and his CNN anchor brother Chris Cuomo. “The Governor refuses to accept my offer of a dominating National Guard. NYC was ripped to pieces. Likewise, Fredo’s ratings are down 50%!”

On Monday, Cuomo called Trump’s remarks and actions “shameful.”
“He used the military to push out a peaceful protest so he could have a photo op at a church,” the governor said in reference to the firing of tear gas into a crowd of protesters before Trump walked from the White House to St. John’s Church to pose for photos holding up a bible.
“It’s all just a reality TV show for this president,” Cuomo said. “Shameful.”
