It is a day to honor, remember, and pay tribute to those fallen U.S. service members who died in active military service, giving the ultimate sacrifice so that Americans can have liberty and justice for all.

Trump tweeted a Memorial Day image on Monday morning, which said, “We can never replace them. We can never repay them. But we can always remember.”

Trump is expected to travel with Melania Trump to Baltimore’s Fort McHenry, where he will honor the country’s fallen troops.

Fort McHenry’s successful defense of the Baltimore Harbor during the War of 1812 paved the way for the writing of the Star-Spangled Banner.

Last year, Trump visited a U.S. aircraft carrier in Japan on Memorial Day.
