Families of active-duty military personnel and veterans’ families in need of food assistance are being invited to “Feeding Our Heroes: A Military and Veteran Pantry,” a food giveaway set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Santa Rosa Mall at 300 Mary Esther Boulevard in Mary Esther.

A number of local organizations and businesses, including Food For Vets, Feeding the Gulf Coast, Piggly Wiggly, Emerald Coast Urgent Care and the Combat Vets Association, will be working with the local nonprofit organization Feeding Our Heroes (A Military and Veteran Food Pantry) to distribute 10,000 pounds of food at the mall’s food court entrance off Page Bacon Road on Saturday.
