A parade featuring a Black Hawk helicopter fly-over was held in Detroit’s Midtown area Friday to honor front-line health care workers involved in fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies paraded around the Midtown campuses of the Detroit Medical Center and the John Dingell Veterans Administration complex.
Agencies involved included the Detroit Police Department, Detroit Fire Department, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The tribute to health care workers included a flyover by a Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, which is used by the U.S. military.
The parade began at the Eastern Market before heading to Midtown by way of Mack and John R.
