2 coronavirus deaths reported in Florida, state says

Two Floridians have died as a result of coronavirus, and two new possible cases of the disease have been announced, FloridaHealth.gov said late Friday night.

“A previously announced COVID-19 patient in Santa Rosa County has died, following an international trip,” the state said. “A new individual in their 70s that tested presumptive positive for COVID-19 in Lee County has died, following an international trip.”

The state also said there are two new presumptive positive cases in Florida, both in Broward County.

“A 75-year old male in Broward County has been identified as a presumptive positive. This person is isolated and will continue to remain isolated until cleared by public health officials,” the state said.

“A 65-year old male in Broward County has been identified as a presumptive positive. This person is isolated and will continue to remain isolated until cleared by public health officials.”
