At the end of President Trump’s State of the Union address on Tuesday night, Speaker of the House Rep. Nancy Pelosi stood and immediately tore up the printed copy of Trump’s speech.
Pelosi’s actions garnered her a wave of criticism, some denoted by the Twitter hashtags #PelosiTantrum, #PettyPelosi, and #PelosiMeltdown, all of which were trending on the social media site Wednesday morning.
A number of hilarious responses ensued.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted an image on his personal account Tuesday night which portrayed “The Simpsons’” character Lisa ripping up her own speech while crying.

Actor Dean Cain posted a “two thumbs down” gif and said, “Pelosi tearing up the speech is peak 2020.”
