Texas State troopers and sheriff’s deputies with Dallas County, Texas pursued a suspect driving a black sedan in a high-speed chase on Monday morning.
News helicopter video filmed the chase, which was broadcast by Dallas’ local Fox 4 News. Close-up footage of the chase begins at 6:40 in the video below:
The chase came to an end at approximately 10:55 a.m. CST after approximately 20 minutes when the suspect lost control of the vehicle after it suffered devastating damage to the left front side.
The suspect exited the vehicle and remained outside with his hands up until he was apprehended by law enforcement.
According to Fox 4 News, the suspect has a warrant out of Mesquite, Texas.
Police told CBS DFW that police attempted to perform a traffic stop on the vehicle at I-30 and Belt Line Rd. in Mesquite — an eastern suburb of Dallas — but the suspect fled.
