The questioning phase of the Senate’s trial to impeach President Trump begins Wednesday afternoon, and the president released some tweets ahead of time.

On Tuesday night, Trump tweeted, “No matter how many witnesses you give the Democrats, no matter how much information is given, like the quickly produced Transcripts, it will NEVER be enough for them. They will always scream UNFAIR. The Impeachment Hoax is just another political CON JOB!”

Trump went on to retweet the same tweet twice on Wednesday, adding “They will never be satisfied!” to one retweet.

“Remember Republicans, the Democrats already had 17 witnesses, we were given NONE! Witnesses are up to the House, not up to the Senate. Don’t let the Dems play you!” Trump tweeted again.

In the questioning phase, questions will be fielded to the impeachment managers and  Trump’s lawyers over a period of up to 16 hours on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, the Senate will hold a vote to determine whether or not they will hear witness testimony.

“There is much talk that certain Democrats are going to be voting with Republicans on the Impeachment Hoax, so that the Senate can get back to the business of taking care of the American people. Sorry, but Cryin’ Chuck Schumer will never let that happen!” Trump said in another tweet.

Trump retweeted numerous statements and videos from Republican senators expressing their reactions to Trump’s defense team’s opening arguments. The senators remarked their confidence in the president’s acquittal, and called the impeachment controversy a display of partisan politics.

Trump also repeated his claim that the impeachment is a continuing “witch hunt” against him.

He also called it a “hoax” and a “political con job.”

Trump also took aim at former National Security Adviser John Bolton, who asserts that Trump withheld $391 million in military aid to Ukraine pending an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden for their role in the company Burisma.

Bolton reportedly makes the claims in an upcoming book, “The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir,” and has expressed his willingness to testify in the Senate’s impeachment trial if subpoenaed.

“For a guy who couldn’t get approved for the Ambassador to the U.N. years ago, couldn’t get approved for anything since, ‘begged’ me for a non Senate approved job, which I gave him despite many saying ‘Don’t do it, sir,’ takes the job, mistakenly says ‘Libyan Model’ on T.V., and many more mistakes of judgement, gets fired because frankly, if I listened to him, we would be in World War Six by now, and goes out and IMMEDIATELY writes a nasty & untrue book. All Classified National Security. Who would do this?” Trump said in a two-part tweet.

“Why didn’t John Bolton complain about this ‘nonsense’ a long time ago, when he was very publicly terminated. He said, not that it matters, NOTHING!” Trump tweeted late Tuesday night.

Trump has since made an official warning to Bolton that his book contains classified national security details and cannot be published.
