VIDEO: This viral gift-wrapping hack is a game-changer

Just in time for the holiday season, a diagonal gift wrapping hack has gone viral.

The hack is particularly useful if you often cut paper too short to wrap a gift. Instead of wasting paper and starting over, you can save time by wrapping the gift diagonally.

The video went viral when Twitter user @chUckbUte shared the 10-second clip of the wrapping hack.

In the video, the box seems too big for the already cut piece of wrapping paper. The screen then reads, “Rotate diagonally,” as the gift is then wrapped by bringing each corner of the paper into the middle of the box, before finishing off the wrapped gift with a bow.

As of Thursday afternoon, the video had 16.2 million views. You can watch the video below.

In a separate tweet, @chUckbUte gave credit to @BlossomHacks, who created the original content of the video.

The @BlossomHacks Twitter account posted a 56-second video with several gift-wrapping hacks, including the diagonal wrapping, making your own gift bag with wrapping paper, and wrapping a gift with a built-in pocket for a card.
