At least one passenger has been injured after two Carnival cruise liners collided Friday morning in the port of Cozumel, Mexico.
The crash involved Carnival Glory and Carnival Legend, according to NBC News.
“Carnival Glory was maneuvering to dock when it made contact with Carnival Legend which was already alongside,” a Carnival spokesperson wrote in an email to NBC News. “We are assessing the damage but there are no issues that impact the seaworthiness of either ship.”
The single reported injury, of a passenger on the Carnival Glory, reportedly occurred when they were evacuating from the cruise liners dining room on decks 3 and 4. The injury was reportedly minor in nature, though the victim’s name and further details have not been released.
