Parts of Patrick Air Force Base in Florida were evacuated on Friday afternoon in response to a bomb threat reported around 3:30 p.m.
The 45th Space Wing issued a Friday tweet noting the evacuations. Security Forces, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) members and a fire department responded to the bomb threat.
“A bomb threat has been reported for Patrick Air Force Base, Fla. The immediate area was evacuated for safety,” the 45th Space Wing tweet said.

About an hour after the first tweet confirming the incident, the 45th Space Wing said in a second tweet “The all clear has been given for Patrick AFB.”

Those Security Forces, EOD and the fire department members who responded to the call determined “no credible threat to the area.”
Friday’s bomb threat comes just after a morning shooting attack at Naval Air Station Pensacola, in which the shooter and three victims were killed and several others remain injured.
