Target’s military discount is coming back before Veterans Day.
For the third year in a row, the Minneapolis-based retailer will offer a special 10% discount on one purchase between Nov. 3-11 to all military personnel, veterans and their families in stores and online.
Similar to how Target gave teachers a back-to-school discount in July, to get the savings eligible shoppers need to register to verify eligibility. To get verified and learn more, go to Target.com/military.
According to Target, the discount is available to military personnel who have either served or who are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces.
“At Target, our team rallies around a single purpose: to help all families discover the joy of everyday life, and that’s why we’re committed to honoring veterans and their families this week and all year long,” Target said in a blog post announcing the discount.
How to sign up
Target is working with third-party verification service SheerID, which collects information that assists in verifying eligibility, according to Target. Additional information or documentation may be requested.
Sign up for the coupon at Target.com/military. Once on the SheerID site’s Target page, select your military status and branch of service along with name, date of birth and email address.
According to the frequently asked questions, eligible family members including spouse or dependent should select “Registered Dependent” under status.
The discount excludes alcohol, dairy milk and select items including some electronics and video game systems, specific toys like Barbie Dreamhouse, Disney Frozen Castle, Elf on the Shelf, Elvie, brands like Fitbit, Google, HP and gift cards.
