A drunk Florida Marine was caught breaking into a home, cooking a meal and telling the startled homeowner to “go back to sleep.”
The 19-year old Marine, Gavin Crim of Wisconsin, broke into the home in Dunedin, Fla., just after 4 a.m. Tuesday, CBS 17 reported.
When the homeowner threatened to call the police, Crim reportedly told him to go back to sleep, but eventually fled when the homeowner did not comply.
He was later caught and arrested on felony charges and released Wednesday, according to his arrest report on the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office website.
Twitter users offered some noteworthy reactions to the Marine’s escapade.
One Twitter user couldn’t help but point out the irony that his last name, Crim, is “50% of criminal.”
” his name is 50% criminal” 🤣🤣🤣#Florida

The Twitter-sphere didn’t stop at making fun of the inebriated Marine, but also the entire state of Florida, which has seen its fair share of viral news stories that begin with “Florida man.” So much, that it has actually become a meme.

One bold Twitter user joked that the news could eventually top the somewhat-popular “Florida Man” meme.
