A plane crashed in Tennessee on Thursday afternoon carrying NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife.

The private Cessna Citation plane crashed when it ran off the runway at Elizabethton Municipal Airport, erupting into flames, but all passengers on board, including Earnhardt Jr., are reportedly alive, WJHL News reported.

Video showed an individual reported to be Earnhardt being treated at the scene.

Emergency crews responded quickly. Carter County Sheriff’s Office said that Earnhardt and his wife have been transported to the hospital.

Their condition was reported as “OK” but no other details were provided.

Footage shows the plane in a fiery heap with flames and black smoke billowing from the fuselage.

All passengers reportedly made it out of the plane alive, Airport Manager Dan Cogan told WJHL.

Earnhardt’s sister, Kelley Earnhardt, tweeted, “I can confirm Dale, Amy & Isla along with his two pilots were involved in a crash in Bristol TN this afternoon. Everyone is safe and has been taken to the hospital for further evaluation. We have no further information at this time. Thank you for your understanding.”
