An 11-second video has gone viral for showing an unidentified creature bearing the likeness of Dobby the elf from the Harry Potter series.
The video, which has amassed more than 29 million views on Twitter, appears to be home security footage overlooking a home’s driveway with a parked car when a strange alien-like figure appears and strolls through the driveway.
Here’s the video below:
The video was posted on Twitter by a user claiming it originated from Facebook user Vivian Gomez, according to Fox News.
Gomez said she woke up on Sunday to see the strange footage on her home security camera. She asked, “First I saw the shadow walking from my front door then I saw this thing…. has anyone else seen this on their cameras??” according to Fox.
Many agreed that the alien looking figure bears a striking resemblance to the Harry Potter character Dobby. Harry Potter fans were eager to celebrate a possible return of Dobby, as the beloved character who tragically died in the sixth film in the franchise, “Deathly Hallows.”
Some suspected that the video is a marketing stunt for the upcoming release of the mobile game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
my conspiracy theory is that security camera footage of “dobby” is viral marketing for the us release of wizards unite

Fans of Harry Potter would love to see Dobby return. Following his death on film, writer J.K. Rowling issued an apology via Twitter in 2018 for killing off the “free” elf.”

This isn’t the first viral phenomenon, as the world just experienced unexplained wonders like the blue/gold dress that went viral in February 2015 with some viewing it as black and blue, others viewing it as white and gold.

In May 2018, there was the Yanny vs Laurel movement, where some people heard one name and some the other, an odd phenomenon considering the names sound nothing alike.
