An undercover sting in Texas resulted in the arrest of a man who was in search of a young female that he could sexually assault, murder and then eat.

Alexander Nathan Barter, 21, of Shelby County allegedly had a passion for necrophilia and cannibalism, so he turned to the dark web to seek his prey, Fox News reported.

Barter’s arrest on Oct. 19, followed his communications with an undercover officer who answered his posts that he was looking for “anyone interested in allowing him to commit necrophilia and cannibalism to contact him, and gave two encrypted email addresses at which he could be reached,” ABC 7 reported.

The undercover officer replied that he was interested, and Barter replied, “Nice! I’m in East Texas. How old is your daughter? Can we kill her?”

Barter gave the undercover officer a comprehensive list of details on his intentions for the girl, adding that he would like to meet her prior to her murder.

He instructed the officer to buy a burner phone and a new outfit to wear after the murder.

He told the undercover officer to call police and report his daughter as a runaway.

In an email communication to the undercover officer, Barter said, “I’m not going to change my mind about this. I really want to do this.”

The plan was for the young girl and “her dad” to meet Barter for a supposed hiking trip but instead Barter and the undercover officer would take her to a Joaquin hotel, kill her and then consume her body.

Police were able to locate and identify Barter through his subscriber information and IP logs, which they used to subpoena the service provider.

Barter left his home with a knife and a plastic bag to meet the victim and the undercover officer at a designated hotel but was intercepted by police and arrested.

By his own admission, Barter told police that he was the individual that communicated with the undercover officer.

Barter was taken to the Shelby County Jail and charged with “criminal solicitation, criminal attempt, conspiracy to commit capital murder and sexual performance of a child,” according to the affidavit.
