Four people, including the suspect, are dead following a shooting at a bank in downtown Cincinnati on Thursday morning.
The Cincinnati Police Department tweeted that there had been an “active shooter/officer” situation at the Fifth Third Bank, which is on Walnut Street in the busy downtown area.
“Five victims injured, three dead. Suspect is dead. Three or four officers responded and engaged the shooter,” the department wrote.

At 9:10 a.m., the shooter opened fire at the loading dock of the Fifth Third Bank building and then entered the lobby, where he continued firing, Police Chief Eliot Isaac said at a press event after the shooting.
The shooter and police exchanged fire in the lobby, and it wasn’t yet clear if the suspect shot himself or if police did, Isaac said.

There were five victims, and three of those victims have died.
Their identities have not yet been released.
Isaac tweeted, “Thank you to @CincyPD officers and @CincyFireEMS who acted bravely and arrived in seconds to assist in today’s shooting. Things happening across the country and we all have to be vigilant and prepared at all times.”
