On Sunday afternoon at around 1:30pmEST, during a Madden 2019 football video game tournament at Chicago Pizza at the Jacksonville Landing, in Jacksonville, FL, David Katz opened fire.
Katz killed two people, shot nine others and then killed himself, Jacksonville police said in a statement Sunday night. The nine injured were brought to hospitals in the area.
The suspect, deceased, is a white male identified by Jacksonville Police as 24-year old David Katz of Baltimore. He used one handgun. The FBI and ATF are assisting with the investigation.

The police are not releasing a motive yet, but did confirm that Katz was participating in the tournament. Fox News is reporting that a source told them that the suspect was upset at losing and started shooting.

The shooting is being investigated as a criminal act, not an act of terrorism. President Trump has been briefed on the situation according to White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.
