The widow of a man who was killed by an illegal immigrant is fighting for stricter sentences.
An illegal immigrant was responsible for the death of Peter Hacking and his two small children, and the immigrant was sentenced to two years in prison for their deaths.
Peter Hacking, 4-year-old daughter Ellie and 22-month-old son Grayson died instantly when an illegal immigrant without a driver’s license drove head-on into their car on March 31, 2016.
Margarito Quintero-Rosales pleaded guilty last week and was sentenced to two years in prison for the deadly incident.
Courtney Hacking, the wife of Peter Hacking and mother of the two children, is now fighting for a stricter punishment, Fox News recently reported.

“How do you look at someone and say, ‘You killed three people, two years is all,'” Courtney Hacking said, as she feels the justice system failed her.
“To me, being illegal in this country was a crime on its own. They commit a larger crime and they get a slap on the wrist and they get to go home,” Courtney Hacking said.
Courtney Hacking said the pain of losing her family would be the same had it been a legal citizen who killed them.
Courtney Hacking’s husband was himself an immigrant who came legally from England.
“I want to see those laws enforced and I want to see stricter punishment,” she said.
Courtney Hacking says all she has left of her family is her four sons, and that is where she finds her strength.
