Saudi Arabia’s aerial defense system intercepted a ballistic missile fired by the Houthi militias on Najran on Saturday.
Last week, the Arab coalition announced that the Saudi air defense forces had intercepted a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis towards the kingdom from within Yemeni territory.
Arab coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said in a statement published by Saudi state-news agency SPA that the rocket was launched Tuesday at 14:40 from inside the Yemeni territory towards the province of the brotherhood of the Jazan region.
He added that the missile “was deliberately launched to target civilian and populated areas and was intercepted by the air defense forces that destroyed it without any casualties.”
