On Monday, at approximately 9 a.m., disabled U.S. veteran James Modon began a hunger strike in front of the FBI office in Cleveland.
Modon plans to stay in his wheelchair, in that very location, until the FBI investigates the murder of his father Aris Modon, Cleveland 19 News reported.
Modon is holding a picket sign that reads: “FBI investigate the murder of Aris Modon, or watch me starve to death from your office. He was my dad.”
Aris Modon died on Saturday, July 15, 2017, in Sienna Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation at the age of 88.
Aris was also a veteran and served in the United States Army during the Korean War era.
The FBI released a statement: “We have been made aware that Mr. Modon is conducting a hunger strike related to the alleged homicide of his father. The FBI has no additional information and further comment.”
