A video of a police dog in Spain has gone viral, and is touching people across the globe.

The Municipal Police of Madrid uploaded the video of an officer dropping to the ground and pretending to be suffering, ABC 15 News reported.

The video then shows Poncho, the police dog wearing a flashing blue police light, trying to revive the officer, without hesitation.

The viral video has been viewed more than 500,000 times.

The dog appears to be using his paws to administer CPR to the officer by jumping onto the chest area of the officer before placing its ear to the officer’s mouth and neck to apparently check for breathing or a pulse.

The police dog kept it up until the officer finally gets up and gives Poncho a treat, Fox 4 News reported.

The Facebook post called Poncho’s performance “heroic” and commended the dog for trying to save the officer’s life.

“A dog is the only being in the world that will love you more than you love yourself,” the department said.
