A U.S. Navy sailor from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz was found dead near a Washington state hiking trail over the weekend.

Nuclear Electrician’s Mate Second Class Jeremiah Adams, 24, had gone on a hike in the Olympic National Forest on May 7 and was reported missing after he then didn’t show up for work last week, King 5 local news reported.

A search party had been launched.

Five days after he went missing, Adams’ body was found on Saturday by a group of hikers on the Gray Wolf Trail in the forest.

His body was found down an embankment in an area of a bridge washout, Clallam County Sheriff’s officials said.

There is no foul play suspected, and the cause of death will be determined by the coroner, officials said.
