The White House released President Trump’s 2018 Memorial Day message on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 2018, on its YouTube channel.
It is a day to honor, remember and pay tribute to those fallen U.S. service members who died in active military service, giving the ultimate sacrifice so that Americans can have liberty and justice for all.
While the White House released this produced video, the President also laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery and delivered remarks.
Alongside Trump were Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford.
The Defense Department also released its own Memorial Day video by created by Petty Officer 2nd Class Deanna Gonzales and released by DoD’s Defense Media Activity – Europe Africa.
