There was an explosion Wednesday morning at a UPS facility in Lexington, Kentucky, and at least two people were taken to the hospital, officials said.

Officials said there was “nothing suspicious” about the explosion at this time.
Lexington Fire Department Battalion Chief Jason Wells said everyone at the facility is “extremely lucky” the injuries weren’t worse, as the first two people taken to the hospital suffered burns and possible concussions.

Right now, it is believed a truck and trailer with an acetylene tank exploded, Wells said.

Injuries are non-life threatening, fire officials said.

Two people were taken to the hospital and six others were going to be evaluated.
Six additional people were in the vicinity of the explosion and were taken to the hospital for observation purposes, the battalion chief said.
