The Army announced Wednesday that a soldier from Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state was killed during a training accident at the National Training Center in California, according to the News Tribune.

The soldier was from the 7th Infantry Division and died while at the National Training Center in California, Lt. Col. Fred Williams said in a release.
No other information was immediately available, and no further details are expected until the soldier’s next of kin are notified and an investigation is completed, Williams said.
