The police are searching for three suspects accused of attempting to rob a Pizza Hut in Philadelphia, a local CBS station reported.
Around 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, three men armed with handguns entered the Pizza Hut in Germantown and demanded money.
At the time, Pizza Hut employee Demetrius Carnegie was visiting his sister who also works at the Pizza Hut. When the three men jumped the counter, Carnegie decided to fight the three men.
“Through my head it was just go into security mode and take care of what I gotta take care of,” Carnegie told FOX 29.
“Honestly, didn’t know if they were real or not but I had to take my chance because anything can happen after they got the money,” he added.
Carnegie can be seen in security camera footage pushing one of the armed robbers back toward the counter and trying to prevent them from getting near other Pizza Hut employees. Carnegie is also seen pushing a number of pizza boxes on top of one of the suspects.
The three suspects fled the encounter, never fired a shot and left with no money.
They were described as three black males between the ages of 16 and 20.
