An Oregon man was killed Saturday after he became pinned against a vehicle at the Army Reserve Center.
Jacob R. Wilkes, 20, sustained severe head trauma in the incident, which occurred at about 1:15 p.m., according to the Shawnee Township Police Department.
Police said a large military vehicle was backing into the garage at the Army Reserve Center on Reed Road south of Lima to tow a second disabled vehicle out of the garage. As the driver was backing into the garage, Mr. Wilkes, an Army specialist, was pinned against the disabled vehicle.

The incident remains under investigation by Shawnee police and the U.S. Army.
