The former Navy SEAL who shot Osama bin Laden had some choice words to say about President Donald Trump’s proposed military parade that Pentagon officials are reportedly planning.

“A military parade is third world bullsh*it. We prepare. We deter. We fight. Stop this conversation,” Rob O’Neill tweeted on Thursday.

“Yes. Third World,” O’Neill later tweeted. “If Russia or France were powerful enough to take over the world, they would. We are yet we don’t. That’s called First World.”

The Pentagon confirmed this week that it is planning a military parade in order to display the strength of America’s armed forces, and it will take place sometime this year.

The Washington Post first reported that during a Jan. 18 meeting between President Trump and top military officials, Trump gave the “marching orders” to plan a parade.

“The marching orders were: I want a parade like the one in France,” a military official who spoke on the condition of anonymity told the Post. “This is being worked at the highest levels of the military.”

The location is still undecided, although Trump is said to have suggested Pennsylvania Avenue. The date is also unclear, but Trump likely would want the parade tied in with a patriotic holiday.

Upon returning from a trip to France last year, Trump marveled at the magnitude of France’s Bastille Day Parade, and said he would like the U.S. to do something similar.

Trump has since faced immense backlash over a military parade, with many Americans saying they do not support a military parade.

O’Neill defended himself Friday, tweeting that he “simply think[s] a parade is a bad idea. And I used locked room talk….”
