Google has apparently started censoring its shopping results when users search for items such as the AR-15.

This also happens when one types in “rifle,” “handgun” and “Glock.”

However, search results still populate when one searches for “Smith and Wesson.”

And, results appear when searching “M16,” too.

Google had not responded to a request for comment by publication.
The AR-15 semi-automatic rifle has come under public scrutiny following the Florida school shooting earlier this month, when a 19-year-old allegedly shot and killed 17 people at a Parkland high school. The shooter reportedly used an AR-15 that he obtained legally.
Google is censoring things like Glock, Colt, and AR-15, but not Smith & Wesson or AK 47.
