The Secret Service on Wednesday investigated a “suspicious vehicle” near 17th Street NW in Washington, D.C., near the White House.
Explosive Ordnance Detection later cleared the suspicious vehicle, and any road closures were lifted.
UPDATE #2: Explosive Ordnance Detection personnel have cleared the suspicious vehicle. Vehicle road closures have been lifted. Pennsylvania Avenue and Lafayette Park remain closed to pedestrians.

The New Executive Office Building had also been evacuated, the agency said.
“Road closures are being established and traffic will be impacted,” the Secret Service had tweeted.
