Romney had intended to make the announcement earlier this week but delayed due to the tragic mass high school shooting in Florida.
Out of respect for the victims and their families, I will not be making an announcement tomorrow about the Senate race. (2/2)

The former Massachusetts governor was also the 2012 Republican Presidential nominee, and ran with Rep. Paul Ryan.
Romney is running for a Senate seat that will be left vacant by Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch, who served for seven terms. Hatch announced his retirement after 42 years, and is the longest-serving Republican senator in history.
Romney released his first video ad campaign on Friday.
