As Shot Show 2018 comes to a close, exhibitors, buyers and reviewers step back, take a deep breath and reflect upon everything offered. The new products and people who feature them brings excitement to the gun, gear and ammo world. Meeting appointments, finding the newest products, getting lost through the mayhem and capturing the perfect angle for the newest firearm brings excitement, exhaustion and even disappointment all in one. The main disappointment is leaving the show feeling like you didn’t accomplish everything that you planned on prior to the show. I think that sentiment is true for every reviewer who attended.
Nonetheless, the show brought a ton of energy and excitement. Everything from new innovators who started in their basement with an idea and a dream to make it a reality in this highly competitive market, to the seasoned veteran vendors who have set high goals, strong expectations and achievements to stay relevant in this ever changing market. Yes, it was all there and Shot Show 2018 did not disappoint.
As a reviewer, or a stressed out guy with a camera and an agenda, I tried to capture everything new along with featuring the older and reliable products that have stood the test of time. I learned four years ago, the show is so large and expansive that it’s impossible to feature everything I originally intended. The sore feet, loss of voice and lack of sleep is a labor of love from a show that cannot be duplicated by any other firearm venue.
I decided to take some of my best firearm features and create a review titled “The best of shot show in under three minutes.” I wanted to give the viewer a small taste of what could be expected on the shelves of their local gun store. I also kept it intentionally short so the enticed viewer will be motivated to seek out more information and study the product before their hard-earned money is slapped on the counter impulsively because they found a gun they couldn’t live without.
Check out the short video below and let us know if you see anything that entices you. Also, let us know what you are more interested and what you have seen introduced that I missed.
