A Russian man desperate for a bottle of wine has been detained after ramming a stolen armored military vehicle into a supermarket on Wednesday, according to local media and footage of the incident posted on social media.
The man stole the military vehicle from a military driving school in the Murmansk region, the Guardian reported.
The man drove the armored vehicle, believed to be an M-1970, through a forest and into the town of Apatity. While driving, the man hit a parked car before plowing into the front of the supermarket.
The man, described as being drunk at the time, exited the vehicle through its hatch and entered the shop through the broken window he had just rammed into.
He walked through the aisles in possession of a bottle of wine before being detained by police.
