There was a fatal high school shooting in rural Kentucky early Tuesday morning, and Gov. Matt Bevin confirmed the shooting.

“Tragic shooting at Marshall County [High School],” he tweeted. “Shooter is in custody, one confirmed fatality, multiple others wounded… Much yet unknown.”

Officials have since said that two people are dead and 19 others injured, and the 15-year-old suspect is in custody.

Early reports were released that multiple people have been shot at a rural Kentucky high school on Tuesday morning, and that police were searching for an “active shooter.”
