NFL star J.J. Watt isn’t shy when it comes to giving back to others. Watt will be sending his newly released training sneaker made by Reebok to a unit of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan.
When Watt tweeted about the release of the shoes, he received a Twitter response from user “OfMiceandLogann” asking if they could be shipped to Afghanistan.
“I don’t think it’s on the normal distribution map, but I’ll make sure that we find a way to make it happen. DM me your size and the address,” Watt replied.
Another Twitter user suggested that Watt send several pairs of free shoes.
“I hope that Soldier’s money is no good,” tweeted user Jeff Bruder. “Ship the man some shoes, hell, ship them a whole bunch of shoes.”
“Great idea. Send your whole unit’s sizes,” Watt replied.
Watt recently helped raise more than $37 million for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, surpassing his initial goal of $200,000.
